SSL Certificates allows secure connections from a web server to a browser through data which is encrypted for transferring. Typically, SSL is used to secure credit card transactions, data transfer and logins. After successfully installing an SSL certificate for your website visitors will see the padlock and the https protocol in the address bar.
Navigate to your cPanel. Click on "Let's Encrypt™ SSL", go to "Issue a new certificate" and click "+Issue". You will then be presented with options on where you'd like the SSL Certificate to apply to. Make sure you have at least your-domain.co.uk and www.your-domain.co.uk selected and click "Issue". Your SSL Certificate will then be generated and applied. You will need to make sure your website is pointed to https. This can be achieved by using a .htaccess file. If you can't see your .htaccess file in your public_html folder which is accessible from "File Manager" either you haven't created one or you aren't seeing your hidden files. To check that your hidden files are showing click in the top right hand corner of your "File Manager" and select "Settings" then make sure "Show Hidden Files (dotfiles)" is checked.
